and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty;

  • I was thinking that the following quote was by Stephen Covey:
    If you keep on doing what you’ve always done,
    you’ll keep on getting what you’ve always got.

    Is it that Stephen Covey made it popular? After reading the quote on your blog, I did an internet search and found out more interesting stuff. Some sites say it is by W.L. Bateman, others say it is by Stephen Covey and I found a site where it was credited to Kenneth Blanchard!

    Whoever said it, it makes absolute sense!

  • My favorite is the one by Reginald B. Mansell…thank you!

  • Werner Spangehl

    Who IS WL Bateman? I have not been able to find out much about him. Does anyone know when he was born, where or where he lived? It is a great quote and it would be interesting to know the contex that it was originally siad in.
