The very best thing I did in the area of personal development in 2009 was to get into better shape.

It helped me to lose 26 pounds in 4 months, to become stronger and double my energy. It may even have helped me look a little bit younger.
The Hidden Secret in Think and Grow Rich
How do you achieve the success of your dreams? For real?
Well, way back in the early 1900s a man named Napoleon Hill dedicated about 20 years of his life to figuring this out by studying and interviewing 500 of the most successful people at the time. People like Edison, Ford and Andrew Carnegie. The result was a book called Think and Grow Rich. A book that went on to sell over 20 million copies. A book that greatly influenced the whole field of personal development as we know it today.
However, in the book there is a secret. The secret to success. But Hill never explicitly tells us exactly what that secret is.
Fortunately, a guy named Brian Kim came along and wrote a book about just that secret and describes it very clearly as a step-by-step plan.
Paraliminals are guided meditation CDs that are focused on various aspects of your life. One is about getting you to become more focused and effective. Other ones are focused on such things as overcoming anxiety or improving relationships, confidence and health.
I have been using these recordings several times a week since December 2008. I have experienced such benefits such as increased presence and calmness, being able to get out of negative feelings and headspaces quickly and increased focus and effectiveness.
How to Learn More by Studying Less and Smarter
One common question people email me about is how to manage school. They want to know how to get excellent grades, manage stress and procrastination and find more time for other things than just studying.
I have some answers for how to handle stress better and for becoming more productive in general. But as for becoming a more effective student that gets better grades and have smarter study habits I like to refer to other people.
One such person that I have referred many students to over the past few years is Scott Young.
