Most excellent article, best I've stumbled upon in quite a while. I've bookmarked your site and will be back to dig into it for some more gems.

Thanks...Tom Carroll

Very intersting article, I am glad I stumbled upon it. I think your 10 steps are good starting points for a person really to understand who and what they are. Just to add my own helpful hints for those who need a bit more direction personavita.com is a great way to get your personal brand started and out on the web.

Truthfully, I have never thought of 'branding' myself, but in today's language it makes perfect sense, and wish I had realized this much earlier. You make one of life's little quandries if not simple, easier to understand.

Can you imagine being able to present this on a much simpler and more 'flexible' manner to young folk?

You really took this blog home. More often than not people do not really think of themselves or their lives as a branding image. This is actually something I have been interested in writing about in one of my upcoming blogs. It can appear that many individuals generally think of themselves for employment or work related areas for hire. However, I like the touch of self development indeed as it relates to all aspects of life.

I would say #10 is the most important - consistency. Although all the points are well noticed!

I agree on being transparent. Actually no I don't. Sometimes you have to be unpredictable in certain aspects of your life to create a sense of mystery to who you are, because if you are common then you are predictable and we know what we think of others who are predictable. Having people curious is a good thing. Obviously there is a limit.
Back to transparency. Your values should always be transparent. Don't ever let people second guess whether you would do the 'wrong thing'

thats my 7 cents. keep it. haha. Just joking.
Great post though man. Keep it up.

I really enjoyed your article. Really knowing yourself and then comfortably displaying that for the world to see is not easy. I think ego will play an important role - in one instance helping and in the other hindering.

Nice post Mike. If only people would read this with an open mind. Your points are so true. Building your brand, whether professional or personal, should always be consistent with who you really are (or strive to be) and consistent in presentation.
