sometimes the negative reaction conquers the positive side because of the effect of environment, in my case, when i was crying when failures came i knew it that i am in the negative situation, what did i do? leave the place and have it unwind in the other place which you can encounter the positive environment. but most of it, the best thing you can recharge your positive gain is have a direct PRAY to our almighty GOD.

Sometimes it's really difficult to be positive. If you think about all of the negative things you have to encounter on a daily basis (news, other people, worries, etc.), it can seem really overwhelming. In essence, it almost seems easier to fall into a pattern of negativity versus the work it takes to remain positive. Perhaps if we surround ourselves with other people who are motivated to good- who are focused on being positive, it may encourage us to do the same.

I think these are all wonderful ideas. At different times, different approaches will be easier or more natural.

I consider that the energy that propels any technique or action is intention. To intend to feel good most of the time will help the method or technique or action to be more obvious.

No one is going to feel good ALL the time, but to have an intention to feel good helps you to be more aware more quickly when you don't feel good. Then the intention kicks in.

Thanks for a nice article.

All good suggestions. I also really like the suggestion from Tabs. Just being grateful for a few minutes can really generate some powerful positive emotions and turn you mood around.

I find 'just smiling' to be difficult sometimes, as it feels forced and fake.

I agree with the point about doing something you love, there's nothing more positive than that ;)

An easy way to get positive when you're feeling negative is to review some happiness quotes. Here are 200 to choose from at http://shanelyang.com/2008/07/26/200-happiness-quotes/
