I think there are times when one approach works better, depending upon the situation. I am more outcome focused myself but positively outcome focussed. Therefore, if I am doing a presentation, my outcome is to get a standing ovation, not to worry about whether the audience will dislike me. The funny thing is that I´ve found that if I just focus on what I´m doing, and pay no attention to the possible outcomes, the enjoyment and passion often just seems to show up naturally.
