Today is the one year anniversary of this blog.
And it’s been a pretty good year, despite a somewhat erratic posting schedule with only a few posts some months.
As of now this blog has over 3900 subscribers and a few thousand visitors each day. Much of that success comes from a few articles that went massively popular (and stayed popular for months).
For the next year I´ll try to stick to what I have been doing this last month. Focus on longer original articles and less on posts with video, quotes or links. I feel this is more fun and challenging for me and provides more value for you. It’s also already helped to provide me with my best month yet traffic wise.
One thing that surprised me over the year was all the positive feedback I received. Well, not that I got positive feedback but the amount compared to the negative feedback. Out of the 800 comments that my posts have received so far I think about 20-30 was angry, complaining, dismissive or negative in some other way.
I´ll be writing a bit more about what I have learned about blogging this year in the beginning of next week. For now I would like to thank everyone for your comments, emails, criticism, support and acts of unexpected kindness. Have a great weekend!
