One Year Anniversary

Today is the one year anniversary of this blog.

And it’s been a pretty good year, despite a somewhat erratic posting schedule with only a few posts some months.

As of now this blog has over 3900 subscribers and a few thousand visitors each day. Much of that success comes from a few articles that went massively popular (and stayed popular for months).

For the next year I´ll try to stick to what I have been doing this last month. Focus on longer original articles and less on posts with video, quotes or links. I feel this is more fun and challenging for me and provides more value for you. It’s also already helped to provide me with my best month yet traffic wise.

One thing that surprised me over the year was all the positive feedback I received. Well, not that I got positive feedback but the amount compared to the negative feedback. Out of the 800 comments that my posts have received so far I think about 20-30 was angry, complaining, dismissive or negative in some other way.

I´ll be writing a bit more about what I have learned about blogging this year in the beginning of next week. For now I would like to thank everyone for your comments, emails, criticism, support and acts of unexpected kindness. Have a great weekend!

Congratulations from me, as well. I am one of your 3920 subscribers, and enjoy your articles very much.

Now if only I could manage to make it as big with my website :P

Congratulations…You’ve got a great thing going here. I’d love to follow in your footsteps. You’ve seen quite a bit of success in a short period of time. I like your decision to shift to longer, orginal content. I’m not a big fan of quotes and vids. And I’m definitely looking forward to reading about your experiences blogging. Share tips!!

Happy anniversary, keep up the good work!

Also.. I’m curious about if the 24h relaxation tape is still working, or if it looses effect after a while?

Two suggestions: Add a google search box on your site. More practical rather than doing a manual site:… search.

Second, if you’re interested in writing less things down, you might want to look into memorization, there’s many books on the topic. I’ve only read the Norwegian Memo and this book.
Especially useful for remembering lists of things and numbers.

Only a year? Sure seems like you’ve been changing the world far longer than that! Keep up the great work. Looking forward to whatever’s next for you!

    Hey, congrats on the milestone.
    I like your simplistic style.

    Thank you everyone!

Ivar: I haven´t used that tape in months, but it did lose some of effect when I used it many times. Thanks for the suggestions, I had some trouble putting in a Google search box after the blog crashed a few months back. I´ll give it a new try.
