Video: An Absolutely Awe-Inspiring Planet Earth Remix

Here’s something to give you goose bumps.

It’s an official trailer for the BBC series Planet Earth set to the music of Icelandic band Sigur Ros.

And just as the gorgeous documentary-series – I recommend watching it in High Definition - about life on Earth it’s jaw-droppingly good. Mixing the footage with the beautiful song “Hoppipolla” from the great Icelandic band´s album Takk is an inspired and inspiring choice.

I saw this series on PBS here in the States. I’m pretty sure its the same one. And you’re right, you really have to see it in HD to do it any justice. Great video. Beautiful song.

    Hey Henrik
When this series was shown originally in the UK it was a huge hit - and the music is instantly recognisable by almost everyone as the Planet Earth tune. Glad you have found it - keep watching it gets better and better.

Amy: Yeah, the difference between seeing it in HD and regular resolution is big, definitely a larger one than I would have thought before I started watching.

Jackie Cameron: I have only seen a four episodes so far but am definitely going to watch the rest of them soon.
