In this video from TEDtalks inventor and visionary Ray Kurzweil explains how we by the 2020s we will for instance have reverse-engineered the human brain and how the line between man and machine will disappear.
I don´t know if Kurzweil is perhaps too wildly optimistic. Even if we have exponential growth in technology and other areas it still seems a little to soon to have such progress in just a few decades. Still, I really appreciate Kurzweil´s optimism. And the future seems to hold some very interesting possibilities.

I was impressed with Ray’s ideas. When you think about his theory of exponential advancement in technology in the near future…it is a bit scary but ….what I wonder about is what happens after? Hmmm….what could it be? Maybe plateau for awhile with nano technology? What about the softer people skills? Maybe then we would turn our attentions towards understanding ADHD or why we have such a widespread use and abuse of drugs….. I’m trying to be positive here. Although my website is very light I enjoy seeing what others may not see in even ordinary things. Ray has brought up some very thought provoking ideas..in this short video. Thanks for posting it on your blog!
