More, a touching short film about life

by Henrik Edberg. Print Print

For the last couple of years I’ve returned time and time again to “More”, a short film about a lonely inventor who dreams of his youth but is trapped in a dehumanizing job.

Mark Osborne´s Oscar-nominated film is an interesting and touching take on life and work. Just look at the expressiveness of the main character, especially in his eyes and in the wrinkles under the eyes. Wonderful clay-animation.

That, in combination with the soundtrack-song “Elegia” by New Order creates a beautiful but sad little film.

You can watch the 6:22 minute long movie at YouTube. Go to Mark´s website to read more about this movie and others.

Life is weird. I saw this movie probably a year or two ago and loved it. Just the other day it popped into my head for some reason and I thought, “I should go track that movie down and watch it again.” And now, here it is.

Cool. Yeah, it´s weird how often something like that happens. Guess it´s The Law of Attraction at work.

I saw this exact film as the music video for Kenna’s Hell Bent. Personally i think their music fits it better, but that’s just me.
